Providing oral health training for professionals across all sectors, including those working with children and supporting vulnerable adults.
This training aims to positively support communities with ongoing mouth care, enable participants to be aware of concerns to look out for and to allow participants to confidently care for their community’s oral wellbeing in a safe and compassionate way.
The training presents evidence-based content and is delivered by qualified dental professionals.
About the Programme
Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council have jointly selected At Home Dental to deliver fully funded Oral Health Workforce Training.
A key component of oral health promotion is the training and development of a skilled and diverse workforce. This means addressing statutory responsibilities, including CQC requirements and NICE quality standards, Ofsted and guidelines for workforces to support people with oral health and mouth care needs. At Home Dental will deliver evidence-based training to support workforces and equip them with skills to promote good oral health.
Providing the following across the BSW region:
- Oral Health Training for professional workforces.
- Mouth Care Champions in relevant settings.
- Targeted provision of toothbrushing packs.
